About Me
Keith T. Nelson, MAI, is an associate broker with Farmer Commercial Properties in Starkville, Mississippi. A Starkville native, Keith graduated from Starkville High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Mortgage Finance from Mississippi State University in 1993.
He was raised in a family involved in construction, real estate, and property management before beginning his professional career in 1993 as a Realty Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Jackson, Mississippi. From 1996 to 2004, Keith worked as a commercial real estate appraiser, gaining experience across a broad range of property types including commercial, multifamily, retail, office, industrial, and agricultural assets.
From 2004 to 2025, he focused on the retail petroleum outlet and convenience store sector as a consultant, appraiser, and owner of The Retail Petroleum Group, LLC. In the summer of 2026, Keith joined Farmer Commercial Properties, where he specializes in the sale and leasing of commercial and residential properties.
Keith is a member of the Golden Triangle Association of Realtors, holds the MAI designation—recognized as the premier credential for commercial real estate appraisers—and is a CCIM Candidate.
He is married to Laura Field Nelson, and they have two children, Will and Lindsey, along with their Boykin Spaniel, Bailey.
